Miss me with your predictions of doom
low-key glee about visions of technocratic death isn't great!
I felt conflicted this week, listening to and reading the various year-ahead takes from astrologers at the forefront of my field. Lots of doom, lots of gloom. I’d hedge and say maybe this is just a “me” problem since I’m a doom- and gloom-leaning kind of person (blame it on your Mars and Saturn1 in the First House, sweetheart, a mystic in great lipstick once said to me). But, I dunno, I listen to a lot of them, and even the most peppy are struggling not to cringe into the future. I get that. It’s hard not to look at the outer planet transits that are coming down the pipeline this year, and in the consecutive years following, and not go a little nuts. Pluto in Aquarius links up historically with times of violent revolution; Uranus in Gemini has always brought war to the United States; Saturn-Neptune can bring the proliferation of mass poison and bad water, on and on, are you sick yet?
