Reversed strength has been stalking us all year. When we need patience, we show teeth. When we need sharp points, we roll over, exposing belly. When we need to tell the soft, fleshy stories of bodies in need, the terror of bodies beneath the terror of bank accounts, we swagger instead, lurching falsely on bravado’s leash.
